Copyright & Licensing

Maney requests authors to assign copyright in order to enable efficient handling of rights; to safeguard authors against plagiarism and infringement; and to protect and authenticate the final published version in perpetuity. Maney uses, and offers authors, three different Creative Commons licenses in order to enable the open distribution of authors work.

All authors whose research work is funded by Research Councils UK (RCUK) and Wellcome Trust must select the Creative Commons Attribution License 3.0 (CC-BY) in accordance with funder mandates effective from 1 April 2013:
CC-BY: Creative Commons Attribution License 3.0 
This license permits others to re-use, reproduce, re-distribute and/or build upon your work, including for commercial purposes, providing they acknowledge you as author, and attribute original publication to the journal.
Articles using this license will carry the following copyright line:
