The International Society of Hematology was founded in 1946 and is the professional body concerned with advancing scientific research as well as the practice of hematology at both clinical and laboratory levels. ISH also looks after the interests of hematologists and hematology in its organizational and political aspects.
ISH membership ISH membership is open to any person with medical or scientific qualification of good professional standing with active interest in hematology for a period of at least 5 years. ISH has over 4000 active members worldwide.
New ISH membership administration The Officers and Council of the International Society of Hematology have decided to use the services of Maney Publishing for the administration of ISH membership. In effect, Maney will provide the secretariat for the Society which we have previously lacked. Though ISH has a large number of members, there is a lack of continuity between the successful conferences that we hold every two years. With the help of Maney, we hope to have a regular and continuous membership that will appreciate the benefits that the Society offers. The agreement between ISH and Maney for the administration of the membership services builds on our agreement to provide members with online access to our official journal, Hematology, edited by Professor Adrian Newland.
