Cultural Studies Issue

EDITOR:
Derek Duncan
, University of St Andrews, UK
ded3@st-andrews.ac.uk

The third issue of the Italian Studies journal each year is dedicated to cultural studies. Maintaining the wide chronological range that characterizes the journal, Italian Cultural Studies promotes all forms of criticism that extend the methodological scope of the discipline. Italy has exerted some influence on scholarship in the domain of cultural studies, most notably as a result of the appropriation of the work of Gramsci.

Essays that illuminate Italy’s legacy in this area will be welcome as will contributions that place aspects of Italian culture in dialogue with other methodological perspectives.

This issue complements the existing work of Italian Studies as the journal of the SIS in its commitment to furthering research culture in the discipline. The issue is international in scope, publishing the very best work being currently produced on Italian culture, past and present. Contributions from researchers outside the traditional borders of the discipline are actively encouraged. Articles can be in Italian or in English.

This annual peer-reviewed publication has its own editorial board affiliated to that of Italian Studies, but reflects the particular interests and priorities of the subject matter. Derek Duncan edits this issue working in close collaboration with the Senior Editor of Italian Studies. The editorial team actively solicit contributions from established figures in the field as well as from promising young scholars.

Potential contributors are welcome to contact the editor to discuss their proposals, or submit material directly to him (ded3@st-andrews.ac.uk ).
