The majority of Maney journals are published online via the ingentaconnect platform, with one exception published online via HighWire.

Access to the full text of each volume is available free of charge to subscribers with a paid-up subscription to that volume. (Some exceptions apply.) Subscribers are also given access in perpetuity to all previous volumes to which they held a paid-up subscription.

For non-subscribers, there is a standard price for all articles and issues available online within each journal. All articles and issues from our archives that are more than 10 years old have a significantly reduced rate – special rates also apply in some instances for special issues and supplements.

This enhances the service Maney offers libraries, working to ensure perpetual access is maintained for all journal subscribers, and supporting its commitment to the long-term preservation and future accessibility of Maney’s e-journal content.

TOC alerts are available free of charge for all Maney journals, regardless of whether a subscription is held. TOC alerts are emailed when new issues are available online, keeping the user up-to-date and, if a subscription is held, allowing quick access through to the full text.

RSS feeds notifying of new content can also be set up free of charge for all Maney journals by subscribing to the RSS links on each journal's homepage. These update automatically as online content is updated. Please note: An RSS aggregator or feed reader is required to operate RSS feeds.

As well as offering PDFs of all articles online, all of Maney’s science, technology and medical journals offer full-text HTML display for easier online reading.

Fast track publication is available for the majority of our STM titles, enabling peer reviewed, copyedited, author-approved articles to be published online in advance of the printed and online issue.

All Maney journals are included in CrossRef, the collaborative reference linking service, which enables readers to follow links from an article’s references to the online content of the cited article, if that article is available in electronic format. A researcher clicking on a reference link will be connected to the corresponding journal or publisher’s website, showing a full bibliographic citation of the article and, in most cases, an abstract. Linking works in two ways: linking out from the Maney content to other articles, and also ensuring linking into Maney journal content from other sites.

Maney is a member of CrossCheck, the multi-publisher initiative to combat plagiarism and redundant publication. Submissions are checked for similarity against the CrossCheck database using iThenticate software.  View Maney’s plagiarism policy.

Maney's virtual journals have been created to provide users with sample content from our journals, bringing together a selection of articles from across our different subject areas. Users simply register to receive a username and password, and can then access the content free online.
