07 December 2011

Journal of Management & Marketing in Healthcare to be Re-named

The Journal of Management & Marketing in Healthcare published by Maney Publishing will be re-launched in 2012 under the new title International Journal of Healthcare Management. The peer-reviewed journal will continue to be published four times a year in print and online, with a new-look cover.

The International Journal of Healthcare Management covers a range of topics within the sphere of marketing and management of healthcare services. This journal will become integral to its field due to increasing demands placed on healthcare providers for effective management and marketing. The journal scope addresses issues of concern to healthcare service providers with research articles, reviews, applied research, case studies, expert comment and analysis.

Its diverse coverage has international breadth, with topics including new and emerging health policies; e-health; cost-effective and efficient delivery of services; disease management; and public community and media relations.

Editor, Paulo Moreira, of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Portugal, comments: “The International Journal of Healthcare Management represents the next step in the development of our journal and our contribution to knowledge management in the healthcare sector. Under this new title, we hope to create a forum to discuss and address current and future issues facing healthcare management communities from all corners of Europe whilst also gathering practical knowledge from other international healthcare markets like the USA and the new emerging healthcare systems from around the world. IJHM is an exciting opportunity for authors and managers to reach new international audiences in the healthcare sector.”

Mark Simon, Publishing Director for Maney Publishing is very pleased with the development saying: “Re-launching JMMH under the new title International Journal of Healthcare Management is an exciting opportunity for this journal to address new issues like personalised medicine, telemedicine and the cost effective delivery of all healthcare services, and to reach an international audience. IJHM will maintain the high-quality standard established by its predecessor, and will continue to be a valued source of information to healthcare communities around the world.”

The new title will be made available via IngentaConnect.com where subscribers can access the full texts along with other related titles.
