Download the Publishing with Maney Newsletter here.

Maney journals welcome original contributions that match the aims and scope of each specific journal on the understanding that the paper has not previously been published, and is not being concurrently submitted for publication elsewhere, and that all authors are aware of and have approved the submission. All papers will be sent to independent referees. It is a condition of publication that on acceptance of the paper by the journal editor that copyright must be assigned to the society or professional organisation for which Maney publishes the journal. The author retains all moral rights to their paper and to reuse their work, subject to full acknowledgement of the original place of publication. Authors may reuse their own material after publication for non-commercial purposes, and put a post-print of the article on their own website.

Maney Publishing wishes to fulfil its obligation to the authors and societies on behalf of whom it publishes to disseminate their scholarship to as wide a readership as possible. By assigning the copyright to Maney or its publishing partners the author facilitates this process as it allows Maney to publish in as many different ways as possible, utilising all technologies current and forthcoming, in all areas of the world. Click here for our Copyright and Permissions Policy.

Submission to journals published by Maney is a simple process and more information about how to do this can be found here.

Peer Review
All journals published by Maney operate a strict peer review process that guarantees the quality of the material that we publish. More information about this process can be found on each journal’s Instructions for Authors page and by visiting our peer review page here.

Pre-prints, post-prints and Eprints – the rights of authors to reuse their own work
Maney will never unreasonably withhold permission for an author to republish his or her own material, subject to acknowledgement of the original place of publication. In all cases the author should contact permissions@maney.co.uk for an official letter of permission. There are various instances where authors may reuse their work without seeking additional permission from Maney, so long as no commercial use is made of the article. For full information please click here. Maney offers its authors the option to sponsor open access publication. For full information on MORE OpenChoice, please click here .

The author’s work is protected by the publisher who can act on behalf of the author and the journal should copyright infringement occur. To view a copy of Maney’s copyright assignment form, please click here.
